The granulation principle and characteristics of organic fertilizer rotary drum granulator

drum granulator is a molding machine that can manufacture materials into specific shapes. The drum granulator is one of the key equipment in the compound fertilizer industry, suitable for cold and hot granulation as well as large-scale production of high, medium and low concentration compound fertilizers. The main working method is wet granulation of pellets. By using a certain amount of water or steam, the basic fertilizer is fully chemically reacted in the cylinder after being humidified. Under certain liquid phase conditions, with the help of the rotational motion of the cylinder, the material particles are compressed and agglomerated into balls.

The drum granulator is driven by the main electric motor to drive the belt and pulley. Drive to the driving shaft through a reducer, and work in opposite directions by meshing the split gear installed on the driving shaft with the large gear ring fixed on the body. The material is added from the feeding end and passes through the inside of the cylinder. Through the special structure inside the cylinder, it is made into particles and flows out through the discharge port. Due to the continuous entry of materials and the continuous rotation of the granulator, large-scale production can be achieved.

Characteristics of organic fertilizer drum granulator:

1. The ball forming rate reaches 70%, with a small amount of returned material and small particle size, which can be re granulated;

2. Heating with steam to increase the temperature of the material, reducing the moisture content of the material after balling, and improving the drying efficiency;

3. Using rubber engineering plastic as the inner lining, the raw material is not easy to stick to the cylinder, and it plays a role in anti-corrosion and insulation;

4. Large output, low power consumption, and low maintenance costs.
