Fermentation treatment of chicken manure using a tank type organic fertilizer composter

Chicken manure has a high nutritional value compared to other animal manure. However, due to the presence of parasites and infectious bacteria in raw chicken manure, it cannot be directly applied to farmland and must be processed. Common methods include drying and natural drying. The processed chicken manure can be used as feed or fertilizer.

What are the benefits of using a tank type organic fertilizer composter to ferment organic fertilizer

1. Ventilation

The oxygen source of microorganisms is the air layer around them. When oxygen is consumed, CO2 emitted by microbial cells will replace the position of oxygen. Later, the oxygen around the microorganism runs out. If there is no “fresh” air to replace, anaerobic conditions will prevail, creating a foul odor. Therefore, the primary goal of ventilation equipment design is to update the gas environment at a certain rate, so that microorganisms can receive an adequate supply of oxygen.

2. Material turnover

The physical movement of the stack (also known as “agitation”) is achieved through two ways, namely, flipping and stirring. During the flipping process, the material particles are constantly flipped up and down. The stirring process updates the gas around the material particles.

3. Gas replacement During the process of maintaining static state of certain materials, the air layer surrounding the materials is constantly diluted or replaced by the gas generated by the material stack. Therefore, “forced ventilation” has great significance in such composting systems.

4. Cooling to remove excess moisture

In winter, white smoke often overflows from the pile during composting, indicating that it will warm up during fermentation, but only under suitable temperature conditions can beneficial fermentation bacteria multiply rapidly. Therefore, composting can promote the evaporation of excess water, thereby reducing temperature.

5. One machine is used in multiple tanks, with good processing capacity. The tank type composting machine can walk back and forth on the fermentation tank and shift the fermentation tank from side to side, so it has strong processing capacity. The hydraulic trough type stacker can also be lifted and lowered according to the height of the compost material stack, with flexible operation.
